Grandpa said to get to heaven
drop a king snake and follow
til' his road straightens,
slow down at the sign
that says bump
and watch for a three toed turtle.

When you see knight's store
at Buford's cutoff
with a big buzzard crouched
on the weather vane
and hear a mole cricket chirp
from Baker's prairie
stop the car and whistle
for the blue tic I sent to meet ya'

Bren,

I really enjoyed this one. A Blue Tic is a kind of hound, isn't it? My Tigger is part Plott hound and we have a group howl every night when my hubby gets home from work.

Hi Lisa,
yes it's a hound, they're sort of blue gray short hair. I bet your dog has a mottled coat, I love to look at markings on animals. Watch em' strut!
LOL On the group howl! I love that! :-)
